After our visit to Brighton last year, it seemed fitting to pay a visit to New Brighton in Christchurch. Complete with pier and everything:
Not quite the wooden amusement coated monstrosity from the original Brighton, the elegance of this one was quite charming, and made a much more pleasurable stroll out to the end and back. Which is all you do with a pier anyway. Never quite understood the point...
Still, the autumn light was beautiful and my trusty mobile phone saved the day as we had both forgotten our cameras.

That looks amazingly similar to Brighton in the UK, if perhaps a little nicer!
