From Tower to Tower

We took advantage of a nice Saturday afternoon for a little wander along the Thames path. Starting at 'The Tower', we made our way down river to the tallest building in the UK, Canary Wharf. Its a lovely but rarely visited stretch and well worth exploring. These are a few highlights...

The Tower of London looking imposing in the sunshine...

Oysters by the river?

Lots of new build and warehouse conversion flats. This used to be the industrial heart of the city, but things have changed...

The entrance into the Grand Union Canal at Limehouse Basin. Now another fancy housing development and marina.

And narrow boats out for a jaunt on the Thames:

And the famous high-rise skyline of the Canary Wharf docklands development.
