Windmill

We stayed in the neighbourhood this weekend, and wandered into Wimbledon Common to pick some blackberries for Dave's Eton Mess (dessert) and also visited the Windmill Museum. It's a sweet and small museum staffed by volunteers, with plenty of models and explanations of how a windmill works. I liked climbing up the ladder and hearing the creaking of the fantail spinning in the wind. We also fed the swans and their almost-all-grown-up babies and pottered around to find Caesar's Camp, enjoying the sunshine. We even pulled out the bucket barbecue for the first BBQ of the summer! It was a bit of an experiment on our small balcony (and we both smell a bit like BBQ) but was very yummy. Hope you had a great weekend too.

The next weekend is a Bank Holiday, so we're thinking about what to do next.
