The course is 4.2 miles (6.7km) long and is very tough! Fortunately conditions weren't too bad this time, last year they had gale force winds and hail stones...
Cambridge row in light blue, and Oxford in dark blue. No surprise which boat we were cheering on!
The River was packed, with allegedly 250,000 people, and latecomers desperate to get a view climbing trees and all sorts!
'Attention!' is all the umpire seems to say, and they're off...
Neck and neck at first...
The coxes sit at the back and scream encouragement at the rowers. 'As one!', 'Legs!', 'catch!' are some of the more intelligable things they seem to say. They do also do some steering from time to time as well!
Oxford clearly have an early lead as they pass us...
Come on Cambridge!
They soon disappeared off into the distance, with the remaining 15mins of the race still to go! In case you didn't know, Cambridge took the lead at Hammersmith Bridge but were not able to pull clear, and Oxford came back at them in a nail biting clash to seal their victory...
What you don't see on TV - the sheer number of boats following the rowers upstream. It must be pretty daunting to look back at this lot!
