Here are my feet, standing on both the eastern and western hemispheres at the same time, on the Greenwich Meridian Line which represents the Prime Meridian of the World – Longitude 0ยบ.
Every place on Earth is measured in terms of its distance east or west from the Greenwich Meridan. The line itself divides the eastern and western hemispheres of the Earth, just as the Equator divides the northern and southern hemispheres.
It's a touristy thing to do but I couldn't resist when I found where NZ was represented. The Royal Observatory is an interesting place to visit, too!
