So the building work continues...
The foundations were fully dug:
Deep enough to stand in! Definitely a no go area for Marshall now...
Here it all is ready to go looking back at the garden:
Then came the concrete, and suddenly the trenches disappeared again! And suddenly, it looks less like WWI (mud and trenches) and more like an extension.
The final layout is now exposed. It seems quite small when laid out on the ground like this!
And the result at the start of the week - foundations build and ready to go!
This is known in the UK as the level of the DPC (damp proof course). Now for drainage and flooring...

Exciting!!
I see your neighbour has a balcony on top of their downstairs extension. What have you got planned for yours; a future extension for upstairs?
Can't wait to visit you, one day.
It's all coming together nicely! There is a small partition to the big extension ~ what is that going to be?
Ours is going to be a two storey extension, so instead of a balcony we get a master bedroom and an ensuite. Yeah!
Can't wait for you to visit when it's all done).
The smaller room partitioned off is going to be the utility room.
Great that it's going to be a master b/r + ensuite upstairs because a balcony is quite useless, really.
Looking forward to more work progress updates :). Thxoxo
