What a welcome change it was to stop over in Melbourne after the freezing temperatures in Britain! The days were warm (although nowhere near as hot as the previous week where temperatures reached 40 degrees) and the summer sun helped us recover from jetlag in record time!
The city sits astride the Yarra River.
Trams and horses ply the streets, which in the central region are nice and free from traffic.
Delicious fruit cakes by the beach in St Kilda
Lots of unusual passage-ways and graffiti
And even a discrete space-invader!
