Snowed In (part 2)

An early start this morning! We built one of the first snow creatures on the common, a little snow womble!
Sadly by mid-morning it had mysteriously fallen down though...

But my journey into work was rather hazardous, this is what South-West London's main artery, the A3, looked like this morning.

And work was pretty difficult to access - no way was I parking on this slip road!

Building a little snow cat helped pass the time - not many clients made it in...

So we closed at 1 and I headed home, giving us time for another adventure in Wimbledon Common.

Here's a fantastic snow rabbit built by ourselves...

And it soon attracted a lot of photographic attention from passing admirers!

A lot of fun was happening on this small hill in the Common. Sadly very limited in space for the number of sledgers trying to use it!

Anything went, from proper sledges...

...to pieces of board...
...to a simple plastic bag!

Other people had been building things too...

And we finished off the day by building a snow pyramid complete with candles, just outside our flat.

ah, you two big kids!! :) Thanks for the photo journal. Fun! but Brrrr!!!

The snow rabbit is almost as good as the one Char and sisters made at Arthur's Pass which also attracted many people.

Take care if you have to go on the road again...

I would say there was a good 30cm on the ground. Loved crunching through the snow in my boots!
