They had only just put the floor joists in this week, when we were struck by a sudden snowfall:
Not ideal as its a bit too cold for bricklaying now...
However the scaffolding has risen up to the next level:
And here you can see, its almost getting up to roof height:

Doesn't look like the snow will stick around for long, right? What's growing on that arbor in the yard? That will look lovely in the spring with flowers on it,eh?
I think it's variegated pittosporum (sp?) and some ivy. Unfortunately, it's coming down to make room for the patio, but our wedding arch should go up somewhere in the garden eventually.
What a damper the weather puts on your progress. I certainly do not envy the builders working in wintry condition. Brrr!!
It's getting quite frustrating - we really want a roof on it before Christmas hits and people stop work (Brits usually take 1-2 weeks off around Christmas). Sleeting all day today - don't worry though the builders don't go out when it's like that!
More freezing weather and snow being forecast next week now :(
Oh no. The weather permitting section of the building contract! How frustrating indeed. Our neighbors have stopped building for the week bEcause of the heat!
