Garden in Progress

Here on request of Aunt CY are some photos of our whole garden, including all the bits we still have to do up! We were really happy seeing how our garden came to life this Spring and Summer, we've worked hard and have some plans for the future after the house extension.
This is the patio, doors opening through to the kitchen diner.

Our house backs onto an Asian food warehouse (in the UK, Asian meaning Indian, Pakistani rather than South East Asia), it's very quiet and agreeable.

Our two raised beds, which are verdant at the moment with brussels sprouts, perpetual spinach, mint, oregano, thyme, parsley, basil, spring onions and romanesco broccoli. Behind it are lots of gooseberry bushes. Dave built me a pretty brick path between the beds, but you can't see it because of all the leaves.

Dave built this patio, which will be the foundations for the shed near the house when it is shifted to make room for the house extension. He got the thumbs up from a professional builder for his efforts!

The business end of the garden - compost bins tucked behind the shed, with wood store and some bark chips for further projects. Then there's Dave's rhubarb patch, which we discovered in the Spring. Perfect for Dave's rhubarb crumbles.

And relaxing on the patio, you can spy our garden inspector, who has a fondness for eating patio and pond weeds.

Char and Dave,
Love your yard! Are those Poplar trees behind your fence? Once the leaves are out in spring, it will cover the warehouse nicely. Marshall is so lucky to have a garden like that to roam in! Love garden projects!!
