Coromandel Coves

We spent most of the day exploring the breath-taking cliffs and pristine beaches of the Coromandel peninsula. They even had brilliant names to go with them...

Gemstone Bay:

Mercury Bay (Captain Cook recorded the transit of Mercury from here - a navigational thingy)

Stingray Bay:

And Cathedral Cove:

We also had a wander through a disused railway tunnel over a kilometre long (Karangahake gorge):

Before stopping off in beautiful Tauranga to visit Bruno and Nicky.
Thanks guys for having us over - we had a brilliant time!
