It really is fun to stay at a hostel and have cool room-mates. Can't wait to visit her in her new hometown of Edinburgh.

Thanks, yes they are ankle boots. Nice and narrow plus quite watertight and cosy with thermal socks. I am appreciating them as you can see by my winter photos...
