We were almost home, but came across a police car stranded on a hill just down the road from our house, with two energetic police men desperately trying to get up the hill - lights flashing and all! They looked so in need we offered them a push, and helped them up the steepest part of the hill. This is the road this morning, and you can see the shovelled out tracks at the crest of the hill from our adventures.
The snow is not really melting here, and the residential roads are potential ice rinks.
At least Dave managed to rescue his car this morning and get it back closer to home, looking very lonely in the distance here:
So unable to travel we have made the traditional snow animal:
(it's a lion by the way...)
Char's favourite Christmas visitor!
The Misbourne valley in the snow.
Here he is again!
Then to add to our day, the Royal Mail van decided to come down our driveway to deliver a parcel. You'd think they'd have more sense!! It took us almost half an hour to dig and push them out. Look what a mess they made of the driveway:
At least it left the way clear to get the Volvo Estate out as well (eventually). To stop any further incidents we've resorted to explicit measures!

what a way to say good bye to your os adventure!
Goodness gracious but never mind, in a few days, you'll be thawing out and melting in the sun while thinking of all those who can't come, still frozen stiff.
